Commentaires de la presse :
Allen Meadow’s Burghound.com : « Alain Meunier describes the 2009 vintage as "easy. The flowering went well and other than a bit of early season hail in Chambolle, there really wasn’t much to worry. I waited until the 17 th of September to begin picking and brought in very ripe and perfectly clean fruit. Yields were quite generous at around 40 hl/ha with excellent sugars of between 12.8 and 13.5 % potential alcohols and as such, nothing was chaptalized. The vinification was straightforward with a total cuvaison of 16 days. I used a bit less new oak than usual, which is to say about one-third for the villages, 60 % for the 1ers and around 75 % for the grands crus. For the remaining proportion, everything was put in one year old barrels. Interestingly, the upper level wines finished their malos first though the lower level wines didn’t finish until 5 months later. Even though the lees were extremely clean, I did not keep much of them to use during the élevage as I didn’t want the wines to be too rich and besides, they are already quite tender. For me, 2009 created wines of harmony that will be accessible young but should reward medium-term cellaring. As to vintage parallels, 2009 reminds me of 1990 or 1999." As to the now in-bottle '08s, they have largely performed in line with my original reviews and several of them are particularly fine. »
